Which model should I pick?
Every restoration runs on a real AI image model, and they have different strengths and running costs.
That's why they cost different credits. Previews are always free and use the option you choose, so you can try it before unlocking.
Short answer: stay on the default. It's the best all-rounder for family
photos, strongest at repairing damage while keeping faces exactly as they were. Try a cheaper model when the
damage is light, or when you're restoring a big batch.
The five families, in plain language
Our models come from five AI labs, and each lab has its own personality. Here's who makes what,
and when to reach for each one.
Google Gemini (“Nano Banana”)
Our default
The gold standard for family photos. Google's models repair tears, scratches and fading while
keeping faces exactly as they were, and their colorization looks natural rather than painted on.
This is why it's our default.
Best for: precious portraits, faded color photos, bringing
black-and-white pictures to life.

Black Forest Labs FLUX.2
Good value
A German lab famous for crisp detail and texture at roughly half the price of the top tier.
Klein, its smallest model, is the lowest-cost option in this family.
Best for: big batches, landscapes and group scenes,
well-preserved photos that just need a clean-up.

ByteDance Seedream
A fast, budget-friendly all-rounder. It won't always match the premium models on the hardest
repairs, but it gets through a pile of photos quickly and cheaply.
Best for: photos with light damage, working through lots
of pictures without spending much.

Sourceful Riverflow
An editing specialist that follows written instructions unusually closely. If you tell it exactly
what to fix, it tends to fix exactly that, and nothing else.
Best for: specific fixes, type something like “remove this
stain” or “repair the crease on the left” into the extra-instructions box.

OpenAI GPT Image
Caution
Creative and powerful, but it tends to redraw faces rather than repair them, results can look
beautiful yet not quite like your relative. That's why we flag it Caution and price it highest.
Best for: artistic reinterpretation of a photo, not
faithful restoration of people you love.

How pricing works
Each model's credit price reflects what it actually costs us to run, stronger models cost more.
One credit is roughly US$0.07–0.10 depending on your pack. See Pricing for packs
and the full table.
