Frequently asked questions
The short version: previews are free, your photos auto-delete, and we never train on them.
What happens to my photos?
They're sent securely to the AI model that restores them, stored briefly so you can download the result, and then automatically deleted from our servers, originals within about 1 hour, restored results within about 24 hours. A small 128×128 thumbnail of each restoration stays in your private account history (only you can see it; it's deleted with your account). We never use your photos to train AI, and we don't browse or review them in normal operation — a person would only ever look at an image if you specifically ask us to investigate a problem with it.
Is the preview really free?
Yes. Every upload gets a free preview restoration (up to 10 per day) using the restoration option you selected, so you can see that option in the before/after slider before spending anything. Credits are only used when you unlock its full-quality version.
Why do different models cost different credits?
The underlying AI models charge us very different amounts per image. The strongest models for family photos, the ones best at keeping faces exactly right, cost more to run, so they cost more credits. The current prices are always on the pricing page.
Will it change the people in my photo?
Our restoration instructions are built around one strict rule: repair the damage, never alter the people. Models are told to preserve identity exactly and to leave uncertain detail soft rather than invent it. AI isn't perfect, if a result drifts, don't unlock it; previews cost nothing, and a different model often does better.
What if a restore fails?
If a restoration fails or the model returns nothing usable, your credits are refunded automatically, you can see every job and refund in your account history.
Can I delete a restoration right away?
Yes. Use Delete now beside a completed result to remove that restoration and its private files immediately. Otherwise, originals delete within about 1 hour and restored results within about 24 hours.
What can I upload?
JPEG, PNG, or WebP photos you own or have the right to use. Very large scans are resized to a maximum of 2048px on the long edge before upload, plenty for restoration. See our Terms for the content rules.
Can I print the results?
Yes, unlocked downloads are full-resolution JPEGs suitable for standard print sizes. For very large prints, choose a model that supports higher output resolution (the default handles up to 4K).
Refunds?
Failed restores refund automatically. For purchased credit packs, see the refund policy, and if something's genuinely wrong, just email us; we're reasonable people.
